Description
Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche is a student of important Tibetan Buddhist lamas including Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Kyabje Sakya Trizin, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, and the16th Karmapa. He is the head of the renowned Dzongsar Monastery and Dzongsar College. Rinpoche is currently responsible for the care and education of approximately 1600 monks distributed between six monasteries and institutes in Asia. He also oversees 6 branches of Siddhartha’s Intent, contemporary teaching and practice centers established in several continents as well as the non-profit organizations Khyentse Foundation and Lotus Outreach.
ITINERARY:
DAY 1: 22nd January, 2020. 9AM – 5PM
- Dharma for Youth
DAY 2: 23rd January, 2020 9AM – 5PM
- Long life empowerment and Tshog offering (Empowerment is based on the long life practice of Drubthob Thangtong Gyalpo and Ganachakra feast offering based on Tara Practice)
FOOD & BEVERAGES:
- Arrange your own meal for a simple, vegetarian potluck style lunch with Rinpoche on both days.
- Bring your own water and beverages. No alcohol allowed.
- For the Tshog offering, please bring home cooked meal instead of ready made food in plastic packages.
- Please avoid plastic waste such as PET pottle, plastic packages etc.
SEATING ARRANGMENT:
- To be seated as per instructions issued at the venue.
- Bring your own sitting mat. The venue is furnished with carpet floor.
- For devotees with special needs, please let the organisers know in advance (30 days) at tsheringdorji@gmail.com.
- Respect security protocols in place and be considerate and mindful of other devotees attending the important event.
TRANSPORTATION & PARKING:
- Own transportation to be arranged.
- Parking is available at the venue.
